About

Headshot & portrait photographer, specializing in capturing the best of you ~ even if you're a dog.

My entire life has been dedicated to telling stories.

As a girl, I was torn between wanting to be a writer when I grew up, or a photographer.  I decided I'd do both, and studied hard at both.  I was given my first Canon 35mm when I was 9.  After achieving a graduate degree in writing I then began my formal photography studies at New York University.  By that time I'd been taking pictures my whole life.

To earn money throughout this process, I began modeling at the age of 12 in both Boston and New York City, becoming one of New York's first models to join the exclusive NYC-based NEXT agency when it first launched.  All that time I longed to be on the other side of the camera.  In the decade I worked as a model, I learned every trick in the book to capturing the perfect shot, from positioning your chin, to adjusting lighting.

Living and working in NYC for 13 years has influenced my photographic style greatly. While I’ve proven I’ve mastered the traditional portrait, my work has the potential to be edgy and off-beat, at times journalistic and candid. It’s all about the client’s requests.

My photos have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Post and New York Daily News, among others.

Today I reside in my hometown of Boston, but split my time between Boston and NYC.
